symptoms of low progesterone??

does anyone have experience with symptoms of low progesterone or irregularities after stopping BC?

i've been through almost 4 cycles since stopping hormonal BC in the fall. i expected to have some irregularities coming off BC, but every month i have spotted the week before AF and it is (sorry if TMI) sometimes heavy spotting/clots where i need more than just a liner. the first couple of months i wrote it off as nothing, but now i'm getting concerned that this could be a sign of low progesterone if my body can't hold on to uterine lining in the luteal phase. i haven't temped or used opks yet, but plan to start temping this month to see if i can detect ovulation and do some charting. besides the spotting, my cycle lengths between AF are pretty consistent.

Not too sure about the symptoms, but I would def call your doc if you're concerned. They can do some blood tests to determine your progesterone levels.

I have low progesterone and currently taking Progesterone in Oil and Suppositories. I did IVFand currently pregnant. I am still being monitored by my RE but have been a google beast since it dropped yesterday and apparently symptoms include breast enlargement and cramping! I had both of those yesterday prior to getting the call that my level dropped from 9.5 to 6.4. So my dose has been increased. If I were you I would contact your gyn to go on supplements while you are TTC so once you are preggo you would be good. And yes spotting is a sign.
