Taking away the pacifier - HELPPPPPP

She just doesn't know how to sleep without it. Yesterday was day one. She didn't nap. After 2 hours in the crib of crying/begging/pleading for her mimi's we ended up taking her out. Then, to get her to fall asleep last night, I had to rub her back. She slept through the night but was up at 6 asking for them.

For todays nap, she was no longer asking for them but bc she relied so much on them to soothe her to sleep, she isn't sleeping. Again, 2 hours in the crib of calling for us, asking to come out, crying, etc.

Re: Taking away the pacifier - HELPPPPPP

just went through this few wks ago

and my daughter is 3! she begged me

and pleaded for her "goo goo" it broke

my heart - but I stuck to my plan. After

3 days she stopped asking for it. I wld

tell her stories before she feel alseep &

that kept her mind off her addiction.

Keep it up and before you know it she

will be free....it takes time and a lot of

patience. Good Luck.

I am terrififed of taking my youngest of the pacifier. I really wanted her off of it by now, but she becomes a monster Chat Icon Chat Icon

The plan is to try and have her give it away while we are on vacation. I have spent the past month letting her know that Mickey Mouse needs her binkies now that she is becoming a big girl and once we give them to him we can never get them back. I'm hoping it works and that she doesn't end up hating Mickey Mouse over it.

Good Luck! Chat Icon
