Re: Taking NB babies out

I took my DS out really early on.. I think he was 2 wks old when we went to the mall..

I knew all the risks but I was careful and really just walked the mall, didnt go into many stores, and really as somone else said.. during the week I found the mall/stores to be SO empty anyhow. I know for me personally that staying in with him for so long was going to make us both miserable and nuts, so it was really important for us to get out. And since the weather was getting a bit chilly in October, that was our way of 'taking a walk.'

I would have taken him to a mall, but I haven't been to one. Chat Icon

But we had people over constantly and had to go to look at houses since we had to be out of our old one when he was a month old. We took him out to dinner at 3 weeks old too.

I have NEVER had a problem with people wanting to touch him, at all. I feel like people see a little baby and look and don't touch. I wouldn't touch a little baby either.

Re: Taking NB babies out

I have taken DS out of the house since day one, but only to local stores at slower times. I am not a fan of taking him to the mall. I did it once, and people were all over him. We ended up keeping the sun cover over him just to keep people from hovering.

Local stores I had no problems, and we do walk outside often.
