Taking off the old countertop?
I think this is going to be harder than anticipated. The house was built in 1979. The countertop looks like it was either glued on, glued and nailed through the top of the countertop and into the top of the cabinets and then laminate stuck on the top, or just nailed on. We're really not sure how they're put on? We looked underneath in the cabinets and there is not one nail to be found? This is going to be harder than we thought. We're so afraid of ruining the cabinets. Any suggestions? TIA!

Re: Taking off the old countertop?
We had the same problem. We just installled the new countertop over the old. It looks fine and no one can tell. Iin a few years I will be renovating my whole kitchen, so this is only temporary for me anyway. good luck!
