i squirreled away a few bucks to buy myself one of these but still don't know what to get.
what do you use?

I have had the Nike and the Fitbit. Both were extremely inaccurate. I now use my polar for running.

talk to me about fitness trackers
I have a Fitbit and I think it's accurate...I really only care about the tracking steps though, and I know it's accurate as I have driven some of the routes I walk and it comes out to practically the same.
