talk to me about your 1 year old and meals/bottles(if any)...
DS is 12 and a half months and still takes 3 bottles a day besides his 3 meals. He drinks about 21 oz of milk (almost 100% on whole milk now). I don't want to necessarily drop the milk but I feel like he should be having less bottles seperate from meals. He drinks juice (very watered down) or water from a sippy with his meals. Any advice on how to transition from the bottles? This is his schedule now:
6:30 wake up & 8oz bottle 8:30 breakfast 12:00 lunch 3:00 7oz bottle 6:00 dinner 7:45 6/7oz bottle 8:00 bed (on a good day)

Try substituting a snack for the 3:00 bottle - or offer a snack and less milk.

DD is 15 months now, but we got rid of all bottle at 12 months and gave her milk in a sippy cup (luckily she didn't even notice). She still probably gets about 16 oz of milk a day. We give her milk in the morning before breakfast, then around noon and before bed, all still in a sippy cup. She also dinks tons of water throughout the day.

Pretty much this. We stopped the bottle a week ago and he never even noticed. I had gradually started to decrease the amount of bottles over the past 6m as per my ped. He gets milk with his meals and water in between and with his snacks. Then about 30 mins or so before bed he gets another cup with milk and thats it. I was concerned that he would stop STTN without that bog 6 ounce bottle that he was getting before bed, but I have to say that it made not a difference at all. Every baby is different. The only word of advice to you is the longer you let your LO have the bottle the harder it is going to be to give it up. Ds doesn't know that he is missing it b/c he doesn't see it to ask for it. Once your LO can ask for it you are going to have a possible battle on your hands!

DD is 1 year too and she varies between 18-24 oz milk a day- she doesn't stick to a schedule that is for sure.
Ped said as long as we keep it at 24 oz milk or below he is fine.
As far as bottles- well I tried, but she refuses to drink ANY milk from a sippy. She will drink water from it no problem
So I'm keeping her on the bottles for now and will try again in a few months- she obviously is not ready to ditch the bottles yet.

Try putting milk in the sippy. I find they drink much slower and less from a sippy cup.

DS is 13 months, this is what his day is like:
7amish: 6oz. bottle and falls right back to sleep in his crib
9amish: wake up and breakfast
Noonish: lunch then a nap for an hour and a half or so
2ish: 6oz. bottle and maybe some fruit
5:30ish: dinner
7pmish: 6oz bottle and bed
He will eat fruit throughout the day, but usually with the way he has his bottles, those are more like his snacks. He drinks water throughout the day, too.
ETA: As for bottles, I don't care if he has his bottle until he's 30 With my DD, she was off bottles at a year and I never looked back, with him, I just can't. He's my last and I just want him to be a baby a little longer

Re: talk to me about your 1 year old and meals/bottles(if any)...
breakfast and milk sippy
9:00 snack
11:30/12 Lunch
2:00/3:00 after nap shes gets a milk sippy, doesn't always take this one and a snack
5:30/6:00 dinner
7:00ish milk in a bottle ( we are stuck with this in a bottle for now)
The bottle really helps her settle down for the night so I am ok with for right now. We just got her back on a schedule with having sleep issues for a bit so I don't want to rock her world again. We will try in a few months again

Re: talk to me about your 1 year old and meals/bottles(if any)...
Also, we tried and tired then one day she just recent that she would drink Milk from a sippy. I would try at first then switch to a bottle if she wouldn't take it. I tired everyday with the afternoon bottle. then one day we started with the morning bottle and she took it from there.
Also, just very recently, she would rather eat breakfast and drink her milk instead of first milk then eat. So maybe you can try giving breakfast with the milk so the milk is not a meal.
