Team Green Mommies to be...
What color furniture are you picking? Or will you wait to have the baby to order your sets?

We like light wood, but it isn't as popular these days. We haven't looked much yet, just online (I'm only 12w4d).

Re: Team Green Mommies to be...
I picked one set for each gender and placed an order with the furniture store -- the store wont actually order the set until after baby is born and we know the gender- so we will have to wait a few weeks/months before funriture comes in.
We went with white for girl, cherry wood for boy.
If you have an amnio or other genetic testing where they keep track of baby's gender, your furniture store could let you pick out a set for each gender and have the doctor's office send the results of the gender without you ever knowing-- that way they can deliver it as soon as baby is born.

We want the same. White for a girl, darker wood for a boy. We thought about giving the furniture store an envelope with the sex of the baby but we don't feel comfortable doing it for some reason.
Where did you order your sets?

Well we have a way to go but I like the ebony Jenny Lind crib and changer.
I can't wait to decorate this nursery.
Best part? Super cheap!!

Re: Team Green Mommies to be...
SIL is giving me a Pottery Barn Kids Sleigh crib in white. I will be using my own furniture from before I got married to fill in the rest - the furniture is espresso. The furniture is petite so it's perfect for a baby's room. I can't justify spending the $ for baby furniture when I already have something similar that the child can grow into.
Even if I wasn't Team Green, I would still do this.

We've been team green for all three (and using the same set for all three) - mahogany. This is the crib:

Re: Team Green Mommies to be...
We were team green and went with painted furniture from Behr's, a light bright green to go w/ the bedding.
