Re: Team green slip up?
We team this time around and when we did the anatomy scan, the sono tech told me beforehand she was going to continually refer to baby as "he" and it did not mean anything at all. Ironically when she did the scan our baby's hand was over the "goods" so she didn't even know the gender.
I think a lot of times the default could be "he." Soon enough you will know!!!!!

Re: Team green slip up?
For what it's worth, I'm very against calling any baby an "it" and talking in a 3rd person type deal "the baby, the baby, the baby" just gets tiring. lol. With my first, I called her a 'he' all the way up until I found out she was a 'she'. Now I just naturally call this new one 'she' and will continue to until I find out any different. I'm sure that's all that was going on. "He" seems the typical when you don't know which. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Re: Team green slip up?
Oh I forgot to add one thing. I got my entire file from my old dr. when I switched practices. Not one document had DD's sex on it.

Re: Team green slip up?
It's a generic he. My OB called my 6 week old a he, and then said she calls all babies "he"

Re: Team green slip up?
I was team green with my first. They all explained to me from the start that they always say "he" and its just what they use. They advised me that no one in the office knows but who ever did the sono and they don't document the sex so not to worry.

Team green slip up?
I'm team green and I refer to 'He' a lot more that 'it' or 'the baby' when talking to DH or family.
