Teething & waking up earlier..

So, DS is 6 months..I think he is teething - drooling like crazy, chewing anything and everything, cranky mess....

Well, he has been sleeping from about 8pm-630am every night for months now. Past few nights he decided to get up at 6am - no big deal, just had to re-arrange when I shower (usually before he gets up). Then this morning it was 445 Chat Icon I went in and rocked him back to sleep in the glider, he went back to sleep til about 630.

I don't know if I should start putting him to bed a little later or is this just a phase...could his liltte gums be hurting him and he is getting up earlier? Could he be hungry?

Before bedtime he gets a jar of veggies and then he takes a bottle of formula and eats between 4-6 oz usually.

Should I give him a little more at dinner time? We have a ped appt in 2 weeks.

Advice please! Chat Icon

It's par for the course with a baby/toddler/preschooler, that once you have a great routine going, they change it Chat Icon Though, I have to say, 4:45am is a little too early in our house. If Yael wakes up anytime before 5:30am, I let her fuss back to sleep Chat Icon

That sounds good but he was like full on wailing....I usually let him fuss too but he was hysterical.

Yea - 445 was WAY early. My DH is a volunteer EMT and he was on call last night. He got a call at 130am, went out, was back at 230am - so I woke up at both of those times and then the baby was up at 445...Chat Icon

Re: Teething & waking up earlier..

its probably pain from his gums. Logan is going through the same thing right now. This kid has been STTN since 8wks old, maybe even earlier, but the past 2 days he's been up 3 times or so, CRYING with his hands in his mouth.

I feel SOOOO BADLY for him! Chat Icon
