Waking during the night during teething?
DS is teething--one tooth already broke through and 2-3 more are showing white spots.
For the past few nights he has been waking every hour WAILING...bloody murder cries.
Is this normal for teething? Do you give Tylenol every night? I don't know how long this will last, so I don't want to use Tylenol as a crutch, but I also work f/t and can't be up every hour.

Re: Waking during the night during teething?
everytime teething gets bad ds will wake up screaming... i usually try and cio for a few minutes and 90% of the time he has fallen asleep again.... i hate to say that i have been relying on tyleno and motrin alittle too much the past week, but it has been awful

Re: Waking during the night during teething?
when miki was teething bad, I would give her tylenol every night before bed (for a week to 10 days)
I also use the teething tablets which really seem to help

Re: Waking during the night during teething?
God yes !
I remember those nights. She'd go down so peacefully then *BAM* absolutely screaming her head off. I mean the pain was unbearable. She wouldnt sleep no matter what we did. Just kept screaming and screaming until she literally fell asleep from exhaustion. She'd get about an hour, maybe two hours max of sleep then it would start all over again.
Ugh, I'll never forget those sleepless nights. And that I called our Pedi twice 1am and 4am

I usually gave him Motrin immediately before putting him down. If it doesn't bother his stomach, it lasts 6-8 hours, where Tylenol is good for 4-6. I found it did make a difference.

This is what I am going through. And I am going to bookmark this thread and re-read it if I am ever insane enough to want to TTC again.
