Teething or ear infection?
Ryan is recovering from being sick but was doing MUCH better, inhaling 6oz bottles like a champ and sleeping fine. Last night he was up every hour and today he is crying during his bottles. He is hungry but doesn't want to suck. Can an ear infection cause pain while they drink? I know it could be teething, and I'm hoping that's it because I have a sinus infection and not sure if it's contagious to him....any advice would be appreciated, thanks!!

Honestly, it could be either. The only way to tell for sure if its an ear infection is a visit to the dr. I hope he feels better soon!
ETA teething can also cause ear infections...

Could be either - I know when I had ear infections it hurt to swallow. I hate to be bearer of bad news but I have a feeling that is it. I would call his pedi and try to get in there to find out. i hope it's just teething. Good luck!

It would make sense, they told me he could get an ear infection after RSV from all that congestion built up. Thanks for the help! Guess it's going to be another sleepless night

He was up at 1:30AM, 3:30AM, 4:00AM and then every 20 minutes last night/this morning...would only nap in MIL's arms so far today and is drinking a lil, crying/turning head, drinking a lil more then crying again. She gave him Tylenol and said that helped a lot. I guess he needs to see the Dr. to check out his ears.
The ped's office is "experiencing higher than normal appointment requests" yadda yadda and I'm on hold forever. Guess he has to wait til tomorrow to see the Dr.

sounds like an ear infection. that is always the way i know when my ds has an ear infection, he wont sleep. i know its a pain in the arse taking them to the doctor, but better safe then sorry. hope he feels better soon.
