Teething question to Toddler mom's.....

Julia has had diarrhea for almost 5 days now, I know its from her teeth because she doesn't have any other symptoms....no fever, vomiting.

I called the Doctor this morning and told her, and she said its most definitely from her teeth coming in but to call her if the diarrhea doesn't go away by next week.....

I'm just so nervous thats she had it for almost 5 days now...

Has any one else's kids had this and for this long from teething?? TIA.

Katherine has several teeth coming in now and she had bad diarrhea on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday AM...she's still been "looser" than normal yesterday afternoon and today.

I didn't know if it was from teething, but like Julia, she has no other symptoms (although she did get bad rash as a result). Since it started I've been feeding her applesauce, toast, and rice mostly...have you tried that to "bind" her up? Also, I've been doing the pedialyte thing so that she wouldn't become dehydrated.

Yes, I have tried all the binding food, shes been on carbs only for days, and still bad diarrhea. I have to buy the pedialyte tonight, but shes drinking a lot still so thats good.

Re: Teething question to Toddler mom's.....

How often is she having the diarreah? Is it just once/twice a day like a normal schedule.

To be honest if it's more than that and it's been going longer, I would think it was something else. My BIL/SIL INSISTED my neice did not have a stomach bug and that it was her teething (same issues - diarreah for a few days) and 2 days after Michael was with her he came down with a the stomach bug. Personally, a virus is a virus and it doesn't matter which way it comes out - one way or the other or both...

When Michael is teething it doesn't cause him to go more and have diarreah, it just causes his poop to soften, but it's not more often.

I hope that your daughter is not sick and hope that what Eireann suggests will help!

If you find that it's still going on, there's really not much to do for the virus except let it play it's course. I would not give her any milk while she has diarreah.

I totally babbled. Sorry.

Shes only having it like 2 or 3 times a day but its a lot!

I mean I have to change her pants sometimes too.

She feels great other wise, shes playing, eating, drinking, so thats why I'm thinking shes not sick. Shes just very tired too.

I just feel so bad, and want to see some harder poops again--lol

LOL, this made me laugh because everytime Michael had mushy poops, my first question to whoever is watching him is "what was his poop like", lol...

I hope she feels better soon!
