Congratulations! What wonderful news!
I have a 3.5 year and a 5 year age difference between my girls and their little brother. Let me tell you, the transition has been wonderful--they LOOOOVE him!

I will say this, 4 years is a nice age difference. Chase and Ava are four years apart and Ava just adores him and dotes on him and could spend hours just trying to make him laugh. It's quite amazing. And she's so good because when he's crying, she knows i need to take care of him and she's patient and waits for me or she'll go do something else. I think it's great and you will, too!

CONGRATULATIONS!!! You are going to LOVE the age difference! I always wanted my kids 2 years apart but it didn't work out that way, and instead, they are 4, and it's just amazing. Alex is my little helper for everything with Yael and instead of competing, they get along just beautifully. Yael looks up to Yael as her second mother, and Alex just LOVES to take care of Yael. It's the bestest

Thanks for all of the love. I'm sure as it gets closer to summer I will have more questions and concerns.

CONGRATS!!!
I love the age gap between my DD's.
When I was pregnant with DD1 I said I wanted to have my babies back to back. Didn't work out that way.
There is almost 5 years between them and DD1 is a great a big sister. There were no jealousy issues which was AMAZING!!
She always wants to help (except when it comes to throwing out a poopie diaper  )
and is so good with her baby sister. She is understanding when I have to tend to the little one and cant quite get to her as quickly as I used to. Loves to read to her and tell her all about her day at school and teach her 'lessons' about growing up...which is the cutest thing ever!!
I will say that it did take a minute to get back into the groove of having a newborn in the house. I had forgotten SOOOOO much that I was referring more to the Dr. Spock and 'What to expect' books than I did with my first. But you have all the wonderful women on LIF so no sweat!!!!
CONGRATS AGAIN!!!!

Congrats!!!! My DD will be 4.5 years old when our twins are born. I'm so glad to see the positive responses. It wasn't the age difference I had planned on, but I think it will work out better. Her response when we told her was, "Do get to be a babysitter????" I can't wait for that!
