Tell me us NYC teachers aren't the only ones ending on Tuesday....
But I think many of you are ending tomorrow for the holiday break...sometimes I really hate worked in NYC

nope, our last day is Tuesday here in NJ as well....but I took that day off to go to SC to see my in-laws. To be honest I'd rather work that day so I can spend the holidays with my family, but it's only fair to DH....

Uhhh... no. Not at all. Supposedly a very nice LI district, too... I'm not feeling it so much at the moment. (Neither are the kids.)
ETA: We have a full day on Tuesday, too.

we were done yesterday, but it will even out - we have to have 180 school days, no matter how you cut it.
I bet a lot of you have an extended memorial day weekend - we do not and I would much rather have those days in the warm weather!

maybe that was added in the 2001 contract (I left before that) - i remember they added more hours in a school day - but that was just to bring it to the same as LI

We are there more hours and last year I believe just the kids alone had 187 days...and we probably had more like 190
