Thanksgiving Apps!
We are only 5 people (all adults) this year. I need to bring it from SI to Manhattan via car.
Usually my mom already does a cheese and cracker thing, so not that
What can I do?
ETA: It's to a small apartment, not a lot of oven or kitchen space
Also allergies as follows: nuts, coconut, strawberries and shellfish (all my SO)

Re: Thanksgiving Apps!
Transporting is always hard but:
-veggies and dip (like a spinach or onion is usually a hit)
-stuffed mushrooms
-baked brie bites (you can make them from scratch or use premade cups) brie/puff pastry and an add on... some people use raspberry jam, cranberry sauce, honey and nuts, figs, etc.
-shrimp cocktail
-deviled eggs

Re: Thanksgiving Apps!
Baked Clam Dip? I bake it at home then it just needs to be popped in the micro to warm before serving. I make it in a casserole dish with a lid so it's relatively easy to transport. It's sooo good. Like baked clams without the shell.

Re: Thanksgiving Apps!
Then how about a spinach dip in a bread bowl maybe? That's always a hit.

Thanksgiving Apps!
There's so many good dips on Pinterest, I made a Loaded Baked Potato Dip for Super Bowl last year that was a hit. Easy to transport in a Tupperware.

Re: Thanksgiving Apps!
Toasts - you can top with a million things. I slow roast tomatoes in the oven. Can do ricotta and honey. Goat cheese and beets. Look online. You can prep at home and just assemble there.
Toasted nuts - cashews in rosemary/honey
Onion tartlette - make at home and serve room temp
Antipasti platter with bread, cheese, roasted red pepper, etc

Re: Thanksgiving Apps!
Caramelized Onion and goat cheese tarts.
That Knorr spinach dip is loved by most people.
Fried butternut squash ravioli with a marinara dip. That can be eaten at room temp as long as you don’t have too much steam when you are transporting it. I’d give it a test run.
