I teach in a high school and see how mean kids can be and how parents just don't want to take ANY responsibilty for their children!
Maybe, this will teach a few meanies to be a bit nicer!

The house where they did the beating, they are getting threatening phone calls and letters. One person left a message on the answering machine that said I hope they get stabbed in prison.
So the 8 are blaming the victim for everything they are going through. And that if she didnt make those comments on MySpace none of this would have happened.
One of the mothers of the 8 is pushing for MySpace to get shut down.
Talk about hearing everything
ETA: It's absolutely disgusting. I am glad they are getting charged as adults. They are all under 18 and if they get charged as minors their is a slight chance their records could be sealed at 18 or 21. So trying them as adults I think is a good thing and something that will stay with them. Their charges are a felony.
Yeah so shutting down MySDpace will help your kids who are just sh!tty people. I swear there should be a test you have to pass to become a parent. How about some PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY people!!!!!

This reminds me of the story a few months ago where a young woman was antagonizing a man on the NYC subway and hit him or threw a bottle at him. The event was captured on a cell phone camera and was posted on youtube. The identity of the woman was unknown until HER FATHER turned her in, saying that he recognized her picture and she needed to pay for what she did.
These parents in Florida could learn a thing or two from the NYC parent.
Those girls can cry all they want - they deserve to spend some time in prison for what they did.

ITA! When they were arrested, they were kidding around that they weren't going to get to go to the beach this spring break and were laughing about it. Now they're crying?! Like anyone is going to have an ounce of sympathy for them.
There's too much crazy sh*t going on these days. It's about time they started cracking down on these out of control b*tches!
