The answer re: sex of the baby and acne, from my dermatologist!
I am broken out like a 13-year old boy, and paid a visit to my dermatologist.
He said in the first trimester, acne is a common occurance, however, if it continues 6-8 weeks past the first trimester, there is a greater chance of the baby being a boy, because acne is in part due to higher levels of androgen (which boys produce).
So there you have it! 
He also said "Half of my patients experience better skin during pregnancy...and then there's you!"

My derm told me the opposite-- that with a girl, your skin is worse because of the extra estrogen.
Everyone has a theory!

I had horrible skin until about 12-13 weeks pregnant, then it cleared up. And I had a boy!

I had got a few pimples in the very beg. of the 1st trimester and then they were gone! I am having a boy!

This happened to me as well.
I did hear that acne is associated more with girls, but who knows.

I have never really had acne before & I haven't had any at all during my pregnancy. I am having a boy.

I had horrible skin up until about 2 weeks ago....I was then 20 weeks.
Hopefully it will stay this way, but I am having a boy!!
I also heard that a girl makes your skin breakout more. So I dont listen to anything!

I had a girl and my skin, which is normally great, was acting up throughout my pregnancy...and after.
Interesting theory though!

i have terrible acne - all over my neck/back/chest - but very small amounts on my face...
no idea the sex of the baby - but if you ask me - it's getting WORSE as of late...(just started the second trimester)..

I have adult acne and when I got pregnant..my skin was never better...we had a healthy baby boy....

Oh my goodness what a comment. He must know that you have a good sense of humor. I had two boys and never had any acne. I always that it was the other way around - that's interesting.

I did not have acne and had a boy. I don't have acne in general or have issues priorly either.
I think it really depends on your own skin tendencies.
My sister had horrible acne and she had a girl. But she had bad acne when she was a teenager anyway.
