Re: The best thing I ever ate: local edition
oh wow! This is one of those posts Im going to keep coming back to and adding things as I remember them! haha.
Vincents - Their Oysters. They have been top quality each time I have gotten them.
Massas coal fired pizza in Huntington, their pizza is amazing.
French Fries at Les Halles are pretty damn good.
Churros at Anejo Tequileria are amazing. We had them a couple fo weeks after getting back from Mexico where we had some pretty awesome ones and these were even better.
Cheese and Charcuterie at Verace are top.
the chopped salad at Cheesecake Factory is my favorite salad.
Red Rooster - we got fried chicken and it was superb!
Bobbys Burger Palace- Burger with potato chips, it just works.
baci -Spaghetti Nona. IMO its just the best spaghetti and meatballs.

Re: The best thing I ever ate: local edition
I don't have a lot of LI favorites.
But there is a salad at this little hole in the wall place on Motor Parkway in Hauppauge - Parkway Rotisserie. They are a greek/pizza place.
They make a salad with freshly grilled chicken in it that is to die for. The dressing, I can't duplicate, but it's so good. And they serve it with hot pita bread that I dip in that yummy dressing. Bliss.
And any sushi from Kotobuki is generally the best I have ever had (on Long Island)
Bolognese sauce from Ciro's in Hauppauge is up there. I also love the Bolognese from Mamma's in Oakdale.
And the baked Ziti from Branchenelli's in Hauppauge- best I ever had and I can't find it anywhere else like that. There is just something about it.

You can get is as a Greek salad with the Feta- but I don't like Feta so I just get the "house" salad version- which is all the same good stuff- minus the feta. It has those yummy greek olives, red onions, etc. Sooo good

I love that place. I used to work near there, so it was easy to have it all the time. After a new job I can never get there. Anytime I drive by on the weekend it's closed and I get so mad. I usually have just a regular chicken pita.

Wings- Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza! I know it's a chain but the wings are DELICIOUS! Not buffalo. They are seasoned and served with caramelized onions & focaccia bread. Mmmmmm!
Chicken souvlaki, rice and spankopita from Greek Street in Massapequa Park. Delicious and fresh. The rice is just rice but for some reason it's so flavorful! The spinach pie is rich and delicious.

I just thought of one- the Half Sours from the pickle guy in Tri-County flea market. And no, it's not because I'm pregnant
Baci ice cream from International Delight Cafe in RVC. Yes, it's worth sending DH out for it when you're pregnant!
