What kind of frosting & writing gel are you using?
Are where did you get that cupcake plate.....I NEED one of those!!
The cupcakes and the frosting are made from scratch. I made a quick frosting with butter, confectioner sugar, milk and vanilla, then separated it and tinted some red and some orange. Made little piping bags with parchment paper to pipe the white eyes and the orange nose. The black is the only part that I didn't make from scratch. It was a tube of black Wilton's decorating icing that I put a very thin tip on.
The cupcake plate is actually part of a carrier my parent's got me one year for Mother's Day. It's a 2 tier carrier that can hold 24 cupcakes! Not sure where my mom got it... I'll ask!
they look great!!!
The cupcake holder looks like something i got for chirstmas. Its a collapasble carrier and is 2 tiers that come apart and it can also be used to hold the cake. You can get it at bed bath and beyond i think its made by progressive or something like that!

That is exactly what it is! I can't look at it right now to see if there is a name on it because I gave it to the teacher I made the Elmo cupcakes for. But you described it perfectly!
