The nightmare continues

Well...

my back/sciatica pain, which had gotten to be at least bearable, has relapsed. It's worse than it's ever been. I slept 2 hours last night and haven't been able to sit all day. Yes, all day, I've been pacing my house because I can't sit down--real fun at 35 weeks. I'm typing this standing up.

Long story short--they are scheduling me for an amnio either tomorrow or Monday, to see if baby's lungs are developed. If they are, I will most likely have a c-section within the next week so that I can finally have the back surgery I so desperately need.

The pain is unlike anything I can describe with words--I would imagine that this is what it feels like to have your leg pinned under a car. I told that to my spine specialist, and he said it's probably an accurate description, considering how my nerve is basically being crushed by my disc.

I'm now back on the Vicodin, which I had begun to taper off before the birth.

Please pray for me--I can't go through this anymore.

Re: The nightmare continues

Oh Beth...I will Chat Icon that your DD's lungs are developed so you can have her safely and get the surgery you need to finally feel decent again. How absolutely painful, I can only imagine, as I know how painful nerve pain can be. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: The nightmare continues

Poor thing!

Lungs usually are developped by 37 weeks but continue developping until 40 weeks.

If you have a c-section next week you will be 36 weeks.

It's "almost" over... hang in there!!!Chat Icon
