Exactly, but how many people actually look at fact checks?
Not nearly enough as there should be. And I know people who repeat false facts and when shown the fact check, insist that the facts are wrong.

Why doesn't Obama ever refute ROmney with the food stamps # by reminding him he rasied the income levels to ALLOW more people on FS so they didn't have to worry about putting food on their tables?
Because that just solidifies the problem. That the economy is in the tank, and inflation is increasing.
And the more people on food stamps, the more the government has to pay. The more spending that's happening and the higher the defecit will rise.
It's a band aid temporary fix, not a solution to the issue.

I never said it was a solution, simply that if you want to talk #'s, there's a valid reason for the increase. As a tax payer (yes I pay taxes) I would rather there be more money for people in legitimate need of things like food over tax breaks for those that don't need them. If the top 1 or 2% were so concerened about growing the economy (and not their own bank accounts) they would re-invest the money into jobs. All these corporations with raging profits and no new jobs? Doesn't add up. So someone had to do something to give a little break to the working poor.

well gosh...where do I start.
Obama promised to end the war...and he claims that he did...he takes all the credit...but the “status of forces agreement” that governed the departure of U.S. troops was actually negotiated between Iraqi and U.S. officials in late 2008, under George W. Bush's presidency. Obama wanted to keep them there longer. Not to mention...there are still what we call "independent contractors" and drones in place. Those contractors were said to be needed to protect U.S diplomats...and well...we see how well that went.
He lied about the attacks in Libya
Obama backed Solyndra with $475 million...a company that ultimately filed bankrupcy...$475 MILLION!!!!!
Obama's a big spender...we already have and will continue to pay for all his spending habits...so why people praise him over romney re: taxes on the middle class is beyond me. My taxes have gone up...I'm middle class...
Obamacare was expected to cost under 1 trillion and is now expected to go over 2.6 billion. I can't stand the thought of losing control over my healthcare and benefits.
Fast and furious
he supports higher healthcare fees for those in the military????
he spends so much time on tv shows such as the view, on the golf course, family vacations, etc...meanwhile this country is up sh*ts creek without a paddle...he needs to step away from the public appearances a bit and focus on the country and act like he gives a Sh*t. He skipped the UN general assembly to be on the view? come on!!! take some responsibility!!!
he constantly tells these stories of people he's met...and people who have lost their children in war or violence...meanwhile those that died in the war from our very own country don't deserve a heartfelt condolence? all families recieved the same canned response with electronic signature. It would take him a combined time of less than 1 week (let's not forget he had four years) to send a personal, heartfelt condolence for those who paid the ultimate sacrifice for the country THAT HE IS THE PRESIDENT OF but he can't be bothered...he's too busy rubbing elbows with celebrities and chatting it up on the view.

oh...i forgot to mention...what the heck was that nonsense file the white house put out? that joke of a birth certificate that still had all the photoshop layers so that you could see it was not authentic? and before anybody jumps on that one...i downloaded it myself...from whitehouse.gov...opened it in photoshop and sure enough...i was able to unlock those layers and see the falsifications.
Like I said...I didn't care for romney either...but I've had enough of obama...I don't trust him and the past 4 years have shown me he is incompetent and incapable...I liked Ron Paul...he would have been my choice.

He compared them with horses. Anyone who can read between the lines knows that comment was meant as a zing as if to say those two things are "out of date" I highly doubt democrats would have found it so funny and cheered obama otherwise. The president had a chuckle himself.
Just a silly little tidbit...not at all important in the grand scheme of the debate...but bayonets are still very much a part of modern warfare weaponry.

I think it depends on your interpretation of the comment. I can definitely see your "Out of date" point but here's another interpretation that I got out of the comment -
This was Romney's quote:
"Our Navy is older — excuse me — our Navy is smaller now than any time since 1917. The Navy said they needed 313 ships to carry out their mission. We’re now down to 285. We’re headed down to the — to the low 200s if we go through with sequestration. That’s unacceptable to me. I want to make sure that we have the ships that are required by our Navy."
He's talking about how the Navy is smaller b/c there are less ships. Now Obama's rebut was this:
"But I think Governor Romney maybe hasn’t spent enough time looking at how our military works. You — you mentioned the Navy, for example, and that we have fewer ships than we did in 1916. Well, Governor, we also have fewer horses and bayonets because the nature of our military’s changed. We have these things called aircraft carriers where planes land on them. We have these ships that go underwater, nuclear submarines."
How I interpreted it was that there is more to the Navy than just ships - there's aircraft carriers, submarines, etc. We're no longer in the age of only ships, just like we're no longer in the age of only horses and bayonets. Although, yes, bayonets are still used by the Marines.

Did you really bring up the birth certificate thing? In a post about what the president didn't do for you, nonetheless?
When before this has a president EVER had to show his birth certificate to the public? And after everything that happened with this whole ridiculous charade and the repeated proof that he is absolutely an American born in the US I do not believe there are people who STILL question it. No white president has been forced to show their birth certificate to the American public. Romney's family lived in Mexico for quite some time - is anybody questioning where he was born? Further, you want to talk about someone not releasing information to the public...where are Romney's tax returns?
This birth certificate thing is absurd and ridiculous and the fact that it is still being used by people as some sort of argument against the president is mind boggling.
And even if you put all that aside - the question asked was what has the president not done for you. What on earth does his birth certificate have to do with anything?
