The Sound of Music
It's on ABC Family...
It's by far one of my FAVORITE movies. I watch it everytime it's on TV.
I love it. It makes me smile...
I always cry when the Mother Superior sings climb every mountain to Maria and then at the end when the do climb the mountains to escape the Naz!s.
I know, I'm SUCH a freakin' sap and a geek!!
But I don't care.

It is one of my all time favorite movies!!! I can't wait until Jordana is older and we can watch it together!
unfortuantely DH doesn't have the same love affair with it as I do- or it would be on our tv everytime it is on the air.

i dont cry at the part where Reverend Mother sings to Maria but i definitley cry when they sing "i must have done something good"...its such a pretty song!!!
dont worry...i cry at EVERYTHING! especially A West Side Story, dont even get me started with that one!

OMG "I must have done something good" Uhhh!!! it's one of my favorites!
That and I cry when Captin VonTrap sings Edelweiss at the talent show just before they run off...

I made my FH sit and watch it with me a few months ago. He put up a fight at first, but by the time we got to Capt. von Trapp and the whistles, he was hooked!

I've never seen it.
well, i've seen bits and pieces when its on TV. AND, my sister was in the play in junior high (she was some sort of Nun... which, if you knew her... was quite ironic) But, besides that, never saw the whole movie.
Its on my list of 'things to do one day....'

Love this movie too. Thanks for reminding me that it is on. Even though I have it on DVD. I always sing "do a deer" to my son and my DH looks at me like I'm crazy. Actually, the other night I was singing it to him and DH gave me a look. I got mad because I thought he was mocking me but he continues to tell me that he felt that "la - a note to follow so" is a cop-out. He feels they should have come up with something more clever than that. I explained to him that it was merely a catchy tune that enables Maria to teach the children about music. And that "Fa - a long long way to run" doesn't really make 100% total sense either. Actaully, i don't even know if that song originated from that movie or not. I learned it before I saw the movie.
