Things to do on Long Island/NYC with 9month-olds
Hi everyone! Our DD's are 9mos tomorrow, and we're always looking for great day trips and things to do with them. So far, we've gone to the duck ponds nearby, White Post Farms, and Atlantis Marine World. They loved everything so far, and they wave and giggle at the animals. What else would you all suggest? We're open to anything! TIA

The queens, prospect park, Staten Island, or Central Park zoos - all do-able and not as overwhelming as the Bronx zoo.
A trip to Coney Island - aquarium, boardwalk, etc.

Skip the NY Aquarium. We were there on Friday. They're still affected by Sandy and most things were closed.
We went to the SI Zoo on Wednesday. That would be perfect for your DDs.

Things to do on Long Island/NYC with 9month-olds
We just went to the Brooklyn Bridge Park yesterday and had an amazing time. We started off at the spray park. My 3 year old loved it so much and would not leave. So DH ended up taking my 1 yr old to the playground while I stayed at the water park with DS. There is so much to do there.

Agreed! We live a few blocks away from this park and between the sprinkler park, sand park, swing park, ferry to Governor's Island, pop-up pool (with snack shack/adult beverages!) Jane's Carousel (in Dumbo) etc...there is SO much to do! We love it.

We didn't even get a chance to explore the rest of the park because my son will not leave the sprinkler park. lol We definitely have to go back.
