Things you have changed at work since being preggers
We are being audited right now (probably for the next few months since it's Medicaid/billing) and the auditors are sitting in a conference room 3 flights up. We have no elevator. They have just been chillin' sittin' back for the past month while I hike several charts up and down the stairs. Well, I sent an email yesterday to the powers that be that this is getting tiring for me and can they have someone assist me from time to time, and at least carry the ones that are done back downstairs. I just don't think it's right that at 22 weeks I am expected to lug heavy charts up and down the stairs! Does this look bad? (Not that I care, HA!).

i think that's totally reasonable. aside from having to walk up and down the stairs all day long, pregnant women shouldn't really be carrying anything heavier than a milkshake. or a donut. you could pull something.
ETA: oh and to answer the question in your post, since my job is considered somewhat "hazardous," i had to cut back on the majority of my field work at about 6 months, and i stopped field work completely at 7 months. i have been doing desk/office work since then.

Re: Things you have changed at work since being preggers
I am have 3 clients I see on a P/T basis. in addition to my F/T job. I am planning to give one of them up after Sept. because she tends to stress me out constantly over nothing, and not only that, she lives up a huge hill and then it's like a 6-floor walk-up in Harlem. The money is no longer worth it!!!

HECK NO!!!! As a social worker, I can feel your pain with having to lug charts around. We are in the process of preparing for an audit and my team won't let me carry anything! I tried to call 2 charts last month and I got yelled at! Telling them that you can't carry charts AND walk up/down stairs is NOT asking too much. It's insane if they tell you no!!!
Your agency does not seem to respect your pregnancy and your needs. Can you talk to a supervisor at your job that you feel safe talking to about this and express, in a profressional manner, the things that are happening? You shouldn't feel uncomfortable to tell them what your limits are.

I think that's reasonable. My co-workers always ask if they can help me carry heavy books or files to and from my office.
