thinking about switching OBs, what do you think? long
so i jsut got a positive for dc #3. i used the same ob for both kids. thing is - he is a single practitioner- well, his partners only do gyn. they stopped doing OB afte i had #1. anyhow, he did not make it to dc #2 birht, he has cross coverage with another pracitce. so basically, someone i never met before delivered db. it was fine in the end. i had him in middle of hte day, OB was in the office.
so, thinking of using the great neck obgyn - dr. rifkin group- is anyone NOT happy wiht any of hte doctors there? you can FM me if you want. the other thing is, they deliver at north shore, old OB is at LIJ, dh prefers lij, says they have a better NICU also, old ob currently does nto have office hours on friday, i wohm pt and friday is one of my days off- i would have liked to go then. i can always go on other day off, i guess
ETA: other group i am considering is klein/nimaroff- if anyoen has any feedback on them

I don't go to either of those groups, but....I do go to an OB/GYN office in Manhasset that I love. 2 of my friends go there too and neither has ever had a problem (that I know of)
LIJ Womens Comprehensive Health Center 1554 Northern Boulevard, Manhasset, NY? (516) 390-WCHC (9242)
Hours of Operation: Monday to Thursday 8 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Re: thinking about switching OBs, what do you think? long
I use Dr. Rifkin's group. My sister and my friend both recommended them. At first I wasnt too thrilled with Dr. Kaufman, but he has definitely grown on me. I have met all of the doctors there and absolutely love love love Dr. Rifkin! I hope he delivers my little girl, but if not I am comfortable with the other doctors there as well. I like the office hours as they have early 8 am appts and late 7pm appts. They do deliver at Manhasset, but everyone I have ever spoken with have all universally told me that Manhasset has a much better NICU.
Dr. Nimaroff/Klein used to be a part of this practice. They left to workat the hospital so the hospital fronts the mal insurance. This is what I have been told from my friend who uses Dr. Klein. She just had her 2nd DS and also delivered at Manhasset.
