This bites....

I hate AF mean b*tch who storms in and wakes me up out of a sound sleep with cramps and bleeding. What a jerk.

Anyway, I need some advice girls. Im going on a cruise 10/18. We fly to Ft Lauderdale and sail to the Keys, Cayman Islands and Jamaica. Its 6 days, Sun-Sat.

Question: Do I TTC this month? If I did and we got PG, Id be only around 5-6 weeks. Is it even safe to fly? Will I be worrying my a$$ off the whole time? I cant help but think that if something GOD FORBID goes wrong again then Id ruin the trip for everyone (my mother is paying for everything, me, DH, my sister, BIL and my brother)

What should I do? Im really on the fence. I dont want to waste a month honestly and a part of me feels like I should go for it and stop thinking so pessimistically while another part of me is saying this is a sign to wait another month.

Personally...I don't think you can run your life worrying about TTC and the "what if's". It is so hard I know...I do the same things...like our friends want us to go away in January and I'm like well I don't want to be in my first trimester blah blah blah...but who knows whats going to happen. My friends were talking about going away for new years and same thing...i was like well I want to be pregnant and I might be tired...but how do you plan for that???

Your m/c ruined your summer...don't let anything else ruin your trip. maybe it can be a celebration!

Youre right Jen. Maybe I should just go for it and then if it happens, God willing, just go on the cruise and call the doctor when I get back. I dont know. I seriously hate to say this but I feel like there are so many good reasons why I should wait and I feel like if I go against those and something goes wrong, I will absolutely feel like it was MY FAULT for not waiting and I wont be able to forgive myself.

I have to admit, the biggest thing holding me back is the fact the doctor said to wait 2 cycles. If I skip this month and try in October then I will have completed my 2 cycles. But then again, the doctor said they only ASK to wait 2 cycles so it is easier for them to date and NOT because there is an increased risk of m/c.

I just dont know. Im at a standstill on this.

I'm not a very religious person but after all this I truly believe it's in gods hands. I totally get being scared. I really do. But I just don't think we can put our life on hold....like my doctor todl me, when people plan god laughs...

But do what makes you comfortable of course.

I would go. You can't be alwyas worrying about the "what ifs". I know its hard I'm already thinking about what if i'm pregnant for my cousins wedding in June lol. It's perfectly safe to fly that early on.
You have a great opportunity to relax and who knows you could always get pg on vacation! But just follow your heart and do what you feel is best for you.

Thanks ladies!! I think I will just try and see what happens.
Im definitely going on the cruise; its booked and paid for. I just wasnt sure if it was a good idea to TTC before hand but it doesnt seem like anyone thinks its a bad idea so I guess we will just see what happens.

I know exactly how you feel, first month of trying after we miscarried, I would be due for AF on vacation. When I got AF is bummed me out for a bit, and I totally forgot about it, because I was having a blast on vacation. But when we found out I was pregnant, I had asked my OB if it would be ok if I were to fly at about 6-8 weeks, and she said it was perfectly safe. The only time you can't fly is when your over 32 weeks.

Personally I would keep trying, if your pregnant that would be just MORE to celebrate about, and if you aren't then you will have an amazing time and be able to forget about it for a bit!
