This is unreal... help me find my lost car keys!!!!!!!!!!
This morning I went to leave for work but that didn't happen until an hour later when DH had to drive me on his way. Totally lost my car keys sometime from 9:30 last night when I went to my car to get something out of it until I went to leave for work. The car is locked so they have to be in the house!!! I'm like 75% sure I remember coming up the stairs in the house and pressing lock on the car key.
We tore this house apart this morning and just now for another hour. We looked everywhere... fridge, garbage, drawers, DD's toy boxes, etc. Where else can I look? I feel like such an idiot. And of course we don't have a spare b/c our cars were broken into a few weeks ago and the spare to my car that was in DH's car was taken.

not sure if you are a religious gal, but there is that prayer for lost things. I have used years ago and it always worked.

could Sienna, at any point have had any access to them?
The one time I thought my keys were gone forever we found them a day later is the tube of DS ball popper toy. Check IN her toys!
My grandmother always told me to walk around and say "jesus was lost then found" over and over. It dont know if its a fluke or what, but I swear it has always worked.

It just seems so ridiculous. They should just be hanging on the hook or on the kitchen counter. It doesn't make sense!!!
Sienna never got them, she was only up for a few minutes when I realized I couldn't find them... then she had a bottle the whole time we were looking. We definitely would have heard the keys if she had them in her hands.
DH thinks i may have locked them IN the car... we took a flashlight and looked but don't see them, maybe they are in the door or something? I'm so frustrated.

Yep! My gram and my mom always told me to say this!
I'm thinking, maybe they are locked in your car! I've definitley had a few close calls of doing that!

I checked all those places... TWICE! They must be in the car, but how did I lock it? I went to the passenger side to get the bag out of my car last night and don't remember pressing the lock button on the door of the car... ugh so frustrating. I guess we'll call a locksmith tomorrow morning.

I hate losing keys so now before bed I always have to make sure they are hanging on a hook and I have tons of copies.
I've been there. I hate it.

Does the car lock automatically? My car will do this sometimes. Maybe they are in the trunk? I've done that - put the keys down in the trunk to get out the stroller or something and almost forgotten I put them in there.

my dad lost his keys once - they were hidden VERY WELL in a plant right outside the front door. he thought he'd put them in his pocket, but they flew out as he turned to walk in the door.
did you really dig amongst the plants around your car/front door?

When my DS was around two he simply opened a drawer in the room he was in and dropped my car keys in.
I found them about a week later after I paid for all new keys when I went in that drawer in the family room to put away magazines.
Nobody in my house thought he did it until we remembered that some of his videos were in there & he would occaisionally open the drawer & just look at them.
you find them!!!!

ETA: oh, I see you listed drawers. Well, I would check EVERY drawer in the house, especially the kitchen.

I lost my set of keys a few months ago and someone on here told me to say this prayer. My keys turned up a few weeks later under a heating vent in my house tucked behind a curtain and I ripped apart everything.
I bet they are in your car. Do you have a spare key?

Thanks for all your ideas. I even did the glass upside down this morning...
Looked everywhere. For hours this morning.
Had the guy come to open the car... $150 down the drain. No keys.
Having the car towed to the dealership now (covered by insurance  ) and the are going to make a new key and keyless entry. Another $150 but insurance covers some of it.
Also lost my house key, pool key and mailbox key since they were all on the same set of keys.
Where the heck are they????????!
