This Is Us - Spoiler Alerts
I couldn't place adult Sophie so I looked her up - she was the annoying Jess on The Walking Dead (the one Rick was dating before Michone).
Not sure how I feel about Kevin and Sophie. Kevin's quite selfish so it'll be interesting to see where they go from here. Too bad he didn't pick Sloane - I like her little feistiness. :)

Read a Q&A with the writer of the show and he stated the kids are around 16-18 years old at the time of Jack's death and made reference to the fact that the kids are at such a pivotal age when he dies.
G-d that is so true. My dad passed when I was 17 about to turn 18 and I feel like my life before and after are completely different and set me on a totally different path.
I seriously feel like I won't be able to cope when we finally learn about Jack's death.

So I think he gets killed in a drunk driving accident, just throwing it out there.
Esp since they showed the mom wearing the moon necklace Jack gave the night she asked him to stop drinking....I know there were 9/11 comments but now seeing the age of the kids I dont think so

The creator said exactly what you said having lost a parent himself. There's the before "it happened" and the after. Its a true turning point in anyone's life but especially at such a fragile time in life in general when you are forming the person who you will be later on.

Yes. It was the thanksgiving one when they went to he cabin. At least that's what the guide said. It actually recorded some stupid show called the wall. It wasn't even on as a repeat.
