this morning i open the front door to find....
an OPOSSUM!! ewww... it was staring at me ,, literally right in front of my front door! he just stood there, and finally went behind the front bushes... then i dont know where he went.. 
are they common here?? i just found it sooo odd!!

yeah..and if you corner it they are not so friendly!
Ii have them in my driveway sitting on the fence in the late night in summer.
Ii pull my car in close to the fence look casually out the window and almost had a stroke..scary fugly little creatures.

my dog cornered one in the backyard the other night, they are nasty little creatures. I don't like having them around because they could kill my chickens or my rabbit.

yea thats the scary part... i would hate to see these nasty things kill our pets... i know a dog can kill possums... but i was just reading about them and said they can kill small cats and other small critters..

OMG, I remember coming home from hanging out with friends at all hours of the night and there was this huge one that used to waddle down the street in the wee hours. Always freaked me out.

They have very little teeth and they are scavengers. It is very unlikely they would attack anything, they are very passive. I actually raised 2 of them a long time ago when their Mom was hit by a car.

They are gross. We have them by us, and I get scared when I walk my Chihuahua early in the morning when it is still dark and they are lurking around!

I know. I didn't know what to do. I asked a BIG MAN, my plumber, to help.  He searched the whole house. Then we found a hole in my screen door. It had scrammed right through the screen door!
