Welcome to pregnancy.

And guess what - it doesn't go away immediately after giving birth either. Chat Icon

JUST WAIT! At 32 weeks I'm lucky if I only get up every 2 hours to pee. And even then I can't fall back to sleep.

I love all my new Mom friends telling me to "sleep now" Short term memory loss must be part of labor (which is a VERY good thing in my book).

And just wait until you are about 35+ weeks when actually getting OUT of the bed is an act of congress, and then when you finally stand up to go to the bathroom you feel like you are gonna pee yourself because the baby is pressing down on your bladder!! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

I am 10 weeks and on the same pee schedule as you. Luckily I am able to fall back to sleep. I think it helps that the bathroom is about 3 steps from my bed. I also do not turn on any lights and barely open my eyes when I go to pee. It's probaly dangerous but it helps my body stay in sleepy mode. Chat Icon

this is one of the worst parts of pregnancy - I was very happy that it went away immediately after having DD
only then, I was getting up with her
we will never sleep again!

Re: This peeing in the mid of night and early morning thing...

I've been getting up on average 4 times a night to pee, since the beginning of my pregnancy! Actually it started immediately after my egg retrieval and pretty much has not let up at all. On a good night I only have to get up 3 times.

UGH, don't get me started. I usually go about 3-4 times at night, and...get this...I'm always in such excruciating pain from my back in the middle of the night that I can't even sit on the toilet. I've had to master the art of peeing while standing up. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

We seem to be on the same schedule. I'm hoping it stops after I'm out of the 1st trimester as that's when it slowed down when I was pregnant with DS. Of course it started up again in the last couple of weeks so I'm expecting the same thing to happen again this time.

Re: This peeing in the mid of night and early morning thing...

This happened to me SO much in the beginning, but from 16 or so weeks on, I haven't woken up in the middle of the night once to pee. I'm SURE that I'll start to do this again soon once the little one is sitting on my bladder! But for now, I'll cherish my full night sleep!!!

This is my problem! I get up to pee and then I am up for an hour before I get back to sleep!

Re: This peeing in the mid of night and early morning thing...

This is almost my exact schedule since I was as far along as you. 3am and 7am, every night, for the past 23 weeks. Get us ready to feed the beans I guess!
