66 but it's always colder in their room as it's above the garage and well, it definitely needs new insulation and better garage doors... to be done when I go back to work.

I dress them in onesies, socks, fleece pj's, and thick fleece sleep sacks. A couple of really cold nights I put a very thin pair of summer weight pj pants on them as well.

In DD's room it's about 66 at night. She sleeps in fleece PJ's and a fleece Sleep Sack. She tends to run on the warmer side to begin with, but her hands are usually chilly when she wakes up, but ped said it's fine (and that he keeps his house at 64 at night w/2 young kids).

We have radiators that go off at night, so there is no heating at night. My son sleeps with a big duvet so he isn't that cold.

Our heating is old and very uneven. His room is usually the most comfortable since the floor is insulated and it isn't anywhere else in the houseChat Icon

Chris and I like to have blankets on at night, and he seems to as well, so we keep it cooler at night.

Re: Those of you that close your DC's door at night

The house is set for 68 all the time except for weekdays when we're not home and it's 66. For some reasont his year, the house seems to be so much colder and I've been turning it up to 70 a lot at night. Especially since DS has been getting lots of bronchiolitis and a touch of pneumonia. I'm not one of those people that likes it cooler to sleep either--I like it warmer. We actually got one of those heated mattress pads for Christmas.

Re: Those of you that close your DC's door at night

From what I've read the ideal temperature for infants is between 65-68.

Any warmer than that your SIDS risk increases.

So we usually have it at 66. Pre-DS we would have the heat at 62 all night.

68 for the house but upstairs definitely feels colder...we need two zones.

In the meanwhile we have a heater in DS's room that goes to 74.
