those of you that went from a regular car to an SUV,
would you ever go back to a car? I love my Pathfinder although gas is $$.. I have to turn it in in Oct AND dislike the new pathfinder.
I dont know if I want to go back to a car. Although I would save $$, I just feel safer in a truck now.
I just have no idea what SUV I would want...or car for that matter....

I always had cars, and now I have a Jeep. Although I would love to get an Audi, I jest feel so much safer in a SUV. The gas is KILLING me though!!

I have the 2005 Nissan Pathfinder (leasing it for 3 years) and I will never go back to a regular car. I love my SUV and cant ever see going back!!!!! I feel safer and it is so nice and roomie and great for road trips.

I would. I have an Xterra and my next purhcase will be a car. It sucks too much gas and I miss driving a sportier car that i can take turns faster in!

I've had Mustangs and Honda Accords. Then I went to a Ford Escape and I don't think I'd ever go back to a car. I love how roomy the SUV is.

see, i feel the same way.. although i like sporty cars i am more of an SUV girl..
now the next ??, what the he!! the get?????
any suggestions... (mercedes and very high end are out of my league for right now... damn $450 a minth student loans)

I did the opposite - drove nothing but SUV's for 10 years and swore I'd never go back to a car again. Well we recently bought a Maxima and at first it was so weird to get used to a car again but I absolutely love it. It's a nice change, not as bulky and easier to maneuver.

Check out the VUE. They are under 25K (for the most part, depending what you get.) I get about 27-29 HMiles/gallon.

Just got my 3rd SUV this week, and could never go back to a car! I feel so low in a car and like I am just learning how to drive. I am not comfortable driving a car anymore.

We have a Murano and I had to borrow my Mom's car the other day and I hated it. It was like driving a go cart! I don't think we could ever go back to a car.

My friend just got the Equinox and he didn't put any money down...he pays 299 a month (he got the family discount though).
I love the Acura MDX and the Ford Explorer.

Nope-i'm an SUV'er from now on. I only have one child right now and I have so much of her crap in the back of my Jeep Cherokee I can't imagine having anything smaller.

i went from a ford escort to the new 2006 toyota RAV 4. i don't think i'll EVER go back to a car!! i LOVE the new RAV 4 sooo much!!! its a lot different than the older RAV 4s... about a foot bigger, and a lot more room, and just so many great features... and you definitely can't go wrong with a toyota, they last forever!! we paid almost $26,000 for the " limited " model with all the options like remote starter, 6 disc in dash CD player, automatic temp control, etc just because i plan on keeping it for awhile, but there are less expensive models... its definitely woth looking into!
and the gas hasn't been all that bad.... it gets about 24-25 miles per gallon, so i've been happy with it!

I agree. I really don't have that much of a need for an SUV. My Honda Accord kicks butt.
I have a Pathfinder too and as much as I like it, I don't see the reason to get another one.

The gas $$ does suck, but I could NEVER go back to driving a car on a daily basis. When my Explorer was getting inspected, I had to drive our spare car, an old Camry and I felt like it was like a little toy car, major difference! I'm not good w/ car prices, but I love my Explorer and I hear Mountaineers are nice also.

i have a pathfider too and LOVE it. always had a car beofre but would never go back to one now.
you should look into the tpyota land crusider. looks a lot like (well it used to) the range rover. don't flame me but i tend to prefer japanese cars over american.

I would consider going back to a car. I miss the handling of my old, sportier car. An SUV just isn't as "fun" to drive.
