Re: Those who drive a Honda Odyssey please read...need feedback!
'just got an Odyssey EX-L '12 in February, before our third DC came out in March. LOVE. IT. We also have a Pilot and although it's spacious enough, we needed a bigger vehicle and features that the Odyssey offered. We thought about the Sienna, but hands down the Odyssey won us over even if it didn't have the AWD. We figured, if the weather was bad enough, we won't be out driving and if we needed to, we have the Pilot to use.
I don't feel like I'm driving a mini van. Handling is even lighter than the Pilot (but then, it's a 2005 Pilot). Trunk space/storage has not been a problem in this van, whether the 3rd row is up. My 5 y/o stays in the 3rd row with my mom or dad (and they don't have any problem getting in or out), I stay in the 2nd row with the baby and our 2nd DC (15 mos. old). Sufficient and comfy legroom for adult, wherever row you stay.
I'm still getting used to the camera when backing up.

Sorry to hijack, but we are looking at getting an Odyssey (by 5/1 when DH's lease is up) and I am curious to know what deals everyone is getting on them.
When we first looked at the Odyssey, the salesman rasn some #s and told us it would be ~$600+/month. We were blown away by that.
We are looking at the EXL (w/ DVD).
We want our monthly payments to be managable (~$400) and are open to lease or finance.
Thanks!
Your monthly will depend on how big your down payment is going to be. Either put in more (if financing) or lease the vehicle if you want around ~400 monthly. We didn't put in much, so our monthly is around $600. We got 1.9%APR initially, but we got their service plan and it got lowered to 0.9%APR, payable in 60 mos. We went to Honda City in Levittown, compared the BJ's Auto Buying Program quote with AAA membership car quote (BJ's program had lower invoice price quote), and had a stress-free buying experience. We were out in 2 hours. We've already shopped around in different Honda dealerships so we knew the price difference.

Re: Those who drive a Honda Odyssey please read...need feedback!
i was sooo not a mini van person...
UNTIL i got my odyssey.
it is soooo not like a mini van that I remember or assumed..haha
there is soo much room, lots of options..we love ours
We did A LOT and a lot of research and shopping before we picked the odyssey..and nothing really compared in our eyes!
One thing that we like that NO other mini van that we looked at had..was that they had the hook up for a car seat in all 6 seats in the 2nd and 3rd row..we felt this was great with 3 kids to have the option to put their sests in all the possible combos
and we felt that theat seats were bugger and more comfy than all the others...
i also lover the power doors and trunk ...and all the space..we also splurged for the rear entertainment and we love that as well..oooh and the back up camra is awesome

We have both the Pilot and the Odyssey and 3 kids and I can tell you the minivan has far more space for all of us. The Pilot fits the three kids in the middle row (1 car seat, 1 booster, 1 seat) but it is pretty cramped. And when we had 2 in car seats, one had to go in the back row which tool away trunk space. With the Odyssey (we have EX-L version) plenty of space even when using third row and still a trunk. However, as much as everyone loves the automatic doors, I hate that there is no backup manual way to own them (unless they have changed it in recent models) bc we had a complete electrical failure and the doors wouldn't open at all--had to get kids out going thru front--very scary and I always worry if an accident how would I get them out quickly. I will say I love having RunFlats though!

We're having twins in June, and I'm thinking of getting a larger car. (I have a crv now)
Will most likely use the second row for the car seats. How convenient will it be if people need to get to the third row, and the second row seats won't fold?
How is the trunk space if the 3rd row is in use?
TIA!
We took the middle seat out of the second row so you can access the back easier. We have two car seats in the remaining seats in the middle row.
