Those who live in an apt- Diaper Pail
Are you getting one if you live in an apt with your garbage shoot in close proximity?
I did not register for any of those diaper pails. I figured why take up the precious space I have already and plus we take out our garbage regularly and our shoot is very close.
My aunt INSISTS I get one.
I definitely see the value in them, but wondering if it is necessary for my situation?

I'm not getting one. We take the garbage out every night so the diaper will go in the garbage.

I registered for one, but returned it. We take out the garbage every night, it's right outside our apt. Plus I've been told from friends who are moms that after a while, the diaper genie's start to smell badly and need to be replaced.

I don't think I will bother with one. I might just get a pail with a lid and take the garbage out nightly. We have a dumpster outside.

I got one-- I don't want to have to run out of the apt and down the hall every time I change a diaper.
I actually think it's MORE important in an apt because of the close proximity. If there was something stinky somewhere in here-- the whole apt would smell, there would be no where to hide!

I got one and I love it. We don't have a garbage chute and I find the pail to be so convenient.

i'm planning on cloth diapering, so yes (i guess it's more of a hamper, really) but if i wasn't i wouldn't get one. all of the people at BBB in manhattan said they're really uncommon in the city/apartments and instead to maybe get a few small baggies to put the bad ones in if you're not going to toss them down the chute right away. they all used their regular garbage pail.

I live in a house and we will not be keeping a pail in the baby's room. I plan on keeping the Diaper Champ in the garage. I don't think any diaper pail works good enough to keep the room "stink free". JMO!
