Honestly, it was the scale.
I know that people say that numbers dont mean everything but for me, if I lost an ounce from one day to the next, I was able to diet again that day. I really NEEDED to see that number go down to make it worth it.
Me too. I weigh myself every day, and I find it helps me a lot.
OP, I have lost about 75 lbs since my starting weight in the spring of 2010. I had a baby this year which greatly slowed my loss, but I weigh in the 120s again, and am mere pounds away from being the weight I was in high school. I set small goals for myself, achieving a new set of tens in a month is my goal (ex, 179 to 169)
The most important thing to do is change your diet. That is the key to your weight loss. You can exercise 3 hours a day and eat like crap and you'll just maintain your weight. Diet is the most important factor, so examine that first.
