Those who took progesterone suppositories..
I have been taking Prometrium 200mg 3x/day since 8 weeks. (Before that I was still with the RE and was on PIO shots). My OB said I could stop taking them on Tuesday, when I was exactly 12 weeks. I called and asked the nurse if I had to wean off of it and she said no, but if I wanted to finish them, I could...I probably have 2 days left of pills.
Well, I have been getting severe headaches - throbbing pain, non-stop. I'm wondering if since I should now be producing enough progesterone through the placenta, then adding 600mg/ day on top of that, it could be causing the headaches..
I did not take any this morning because I have a lot going on at work today. Do you guys think that could be causing it - kind of like, overloading on the progesterone?

Not really sure...I was on PIO shots & stopped last friday. I have the opposite effect. Since coming off of them, I have had 2 days of severe headaches. I thought it was my body in withdrawal

I took them, but then switched to PIO and i'm still on that- so I can't help.

I took them for the first 3 months with my first pregnancy and had 0 problems when I stopped. I would call your Dr and ask them.
