Those with a kitchenaid stand mixer...
Do you keep it out on your counter always? Do you have a cover? I'm hoping our new kitchen in our apt will have enough space to keep mine out.

mine is out on my bakers rack...but i want to get the cover. I feel like it gets dusty.....we have a cat and a dog and feel like their fur is everywhere sometimes LOL

no , it goes in a cabinet and comes out when we need it. It takes up too much room on our counter.

mine is out on counter. I don't have the special cover, but I do keep it covered with a kitchen towel - coordinates with kitchen.

I used to in my old kitchen but I purposely made our cabinet maker make a shelf to fit it in our pantry.

i have mine on the counter but in a corner so it doesn't take up too much room and i don't lose much workspace...i only have 2 appliances on my counters, my mixer and my keurig coffee machine...my mixer is to heavy for me to lift and carry - i have a hard enough time moving it out of the corner when i use it so i can't imagine keeping it in a cabinet and carrying it to the counter - i'm a weakling 
i use it more often than my toaster, blender, grill, deep fryer - those appliances i keep in the pantry on a shelf.

Me too - It's in a cabinet but I have the cover that goes with it so it's in the cabinet covered!

I keep it out on the countertop since it is so heavy. I like to have it stationary so that I can easily use it when I need it. I only put away the bowl and the mixing gadgets.

I have a tiny kitchen, but I keep it out b/c it is heavy. It is an corner,so it isnt'in my way & I pull it closer to me when I need it.
It is't covered. I doesn't get that greasy or dusty, being in the corner & if it dees get dirty it wipes off easily.
It would probably be more likely to get scratched if I had to take it out all the time, b/c I am sure I would bang it against things.

I have the biggest one. No way I can keep it out on my counter. I don't use it often enough to sacrifice my counter tops.

I didn't even know they had a cover!
Mine doesn't get dusty and I have the black one. Maybe because I use it often - about once a week? I also clean my kitchen everyday so maybe that is why? I'm always wiping down my counters and it's in the corner so maybe that is why it stays so clean? Plus I wipe down the base after every use.
