Those with a nanny did you create a schedule?
We found a great nanny this past weekend. I wanted to see what others did in the beginning with their nannies.
Is it appropirate for me to make a schedule of times to feed ( give or take 30 mins), then a list of activities to follow every day, ( read, tummy time, activity time, etc).
I know she said mon and friday will be her laundry days for the baby's wash and she will clean the bedding on those days too.
So do I create a schedule for her? Or just let her create the schedule that works for her and just tell her my must do things? ( like read, mat time, excersaucer, etc).

I would create a schedule for feedings only. Let her decide the rest as far as playtime etc..but you should leave a list of your must do things!!!

Definitely do a schedule for feeding and discuss with her the activities you want her to do with your DC....
I made the mistake of not doing a schedule and allowed her to follow her instincts - her instincts are obviously not like mine so now I had to correct her - which I don't like doing....but in the end she thanked me for doing so because like she said - she won't know what I want unless I tell her.

Re: Those with a nanny did you create a schedule?
When our nanny started with us I had a very loose/flexible schedule being that the baby was 3 months old and I was with the baby and felt I knew her routine. When we met I told her reading to the baby was really important to me but that was the main requirement.
Over time (DD is 9 months), I don't really give a schedule. I will suggest things to do (like new toys as she became more mobile, point out books that we just received for her to read to DD etc) but our nanny is very much in tune with DD in terms of eating and play time etc...actually sometimes I ask her for suggestions of things DD would like for the weekends. DD doesn't really have a set feeding or sleeping schedule either so our nanny just gets her cues as to when to feed or put her down for a nap.
Glad you found a great nanny! That is half the battle! HTH!

In the beginning I made schedule of her feedings/nap times.
After a month or so, she figured out the baby's schedule and did things on her own.

Re: Those with a nanny did you create a schedule?
Congrats!!
I would have her start a few days before you go back to work and let her shadow you and see what you do.
Sit down and express to her what you really feel strong about and how you like things done..
Take it one day at a time but above all, communicate with her about what you want.. it'll help the transition..
GL!
