Those with Angel Care Monitors
Where did you get the board to put under the mattress to make it flat? Do they sell a standard one?
Also, does a ceiling fan really set it off?

Re: Those with Angel Care Monitors
I use a 12 month calendar. It is hard enough for the pad.
As for the fan, I do not know since he doesn't have one.

Re: Those with Angel Care Monitors
DH happened to have a piece of lumber in the basement that worked. I forget what it was from.
Not sure of the ceiling fan thing. Never heard of anything like that.

Re: Those with Angel Care Monitors
DH put a piece of plywood down to put the pad on.
We tested it with the ceiling fan and it does interfere with the monitor (neither did his CD player or humidifier - yes I am psycho and tested it all!!!)

Re: Those with Angel Care Monitors
I used a scrap piece of plywood as well. I have plenty of wood in my shop, so it was very easy. Any large, firm piece of anything will work.
A couple pieces of cardboard box. As a last resort, you could probably use a few newspapers (several of the entire Sunday edition, not just a few sheets... )

Does it have to cover the whole base of the crib or just the portion where the pad goes?

Re: Those with Angel Care Monitors
The humidifier, ceiling fan, iPod radio, etc didn't interfere with the monitor.
It might be just us, but we didn't need anything under the mattress for the pad.

Re: Those with Angel Care Monitors
We used a piece of ply wood about 6 inches bigger than the pad all around.
