Thoughts on gray furniture?
I'm going to be picking out new furniture for dd in the next year, and I would like it to last until she's 18ish. I found a set at pottery barn I love that is a waste gray. Is that too trendy? The other good furniture we have is dark wood, but idk if I want dark wood in every single room

I feel like that weathered grey furniture is quite trendy. It is he new version of wicker.

Thoughts on gray furniture?
IMO, weathered/faded gray furniture is super trendy and will be "out" in a few years. I love how it looks, but would avoid it if you plan on DD using the set long term. I think dark wood is timeless and wouldn't mind it in every room. You're not seeing it all together, so I don't think it's overwhelming.

Re: Thoughts on gray furniture?
I love the look but it is very trendy right now. Could that be why you are liking it ? If not and its just something you have always liked, then go for it.

Re: Thoughts on gray furniture?
I'm having the same dilemma! I'm on team green, and gray is the only gender neutral shade I like! I want to avoid dark as it shows dust! I don't know whether to just wait til dc is born or go with the grey

We did it for DD, I like that it wont chip or look worn bc its weathered gray. I dont know if I feel its trendy I can always buy her a new set but we got the convertible crib set and love it

i love grey. love love love.
i dont think it's trendy. i think like shabby chic, the look can last for years. you can change out the accompanying decor to change up the look as well.

I agree. I don't think it is too trendy either. Update the bedding colors, room accessories and window treatments as she ages to refresh the look.

Thoughts on gray furniture?
while it is trendy, it goes with everything! As she gets older, she could totally transform all colors in her room and the furniture will still match

this is how i feel, yes it is super trendy but i see gray furniture more like white as it goes with everything and can transform with colors of the room.

Re: Thoughts on gray furniture?
I don't care - But I have always liked that vintage, weathered look whether it was 'in' at the moment or not. So in my house, that look wouldn't be 'trendy' it would just be 'me'
if NOTHING else in your house has that kind of style though, I think you might tire of it easily
