TSH is the # the tells if your thyroid is overactive or underactive. It could be Hypo or Hyper thyroidism

I have an underactive thyroid-I have been on medication for about 3 yrs now and will be on it for the rest of my life.

A low TSH means that your thyroid might be over active or hyperthyroid.

It's not hyperthyroid because, as I mentioned, the thyroid levels are also extremely low. I think it has to do with pituitary function and I am nervous (it's my mom)..

No, my mom is severely hypothyroid.
if she were hyperthyroid, her thyroid levels (t3? t4? not sure what is they use) would be high. If one is high the other should be low. It doesn't make sense that both are low and Ia m really scared.
