Time for my transfer.......Bad news update...THANK YOU EVERYONE!!
As many of you remember, I had my retrieval on Monday. They were able to retrieve 5. I got a call on Tuesday and they told me that all 5 were fertilized. Here I am very anxious for my transfer tomorrow. My RE will transfer only 2 due to my age. Please keep your fingers and toes crossed for me and please keep me in your prayers! I will update you guys tomorrow. In the mean time, after you ladies had your transfer, did you take lay in bed for multiple days? I already took a day off tomorrow since my transfer is at 12:30pm and I'm going straight to my acupuncturist after that there's no point to go back. My RE said that I don't have to do bed rest but then I have heard other women being on bed rest for a few days. Does it really matter? Should I take Friday off as well?
UPDATE****
2 hours before my transfer, I just got a call from my RE with bad news. all 5 five embies stopped growing. There will be no transfer today. Eventhough this is our first try, I'm still devastated! How can they ALL stopped growing? My RE says it's related to my elevated FSH. Can it really be ALL BECAUSE of my FSH or do you think the quality of the embryology lab can also have something to do with it? i mean...my fsh is 14.3, i'm 28 and to hear that ALL my 5 embies have stopped growing is kind of strange........what do you think? I'm still devasted but I won't give you! Thank you girls for all your support through my first cycle. I just can't wait to get AF and start with my second.
I JUST WANT TO THANK EVERYONE FOR YOUR SUPPORT, PRAYERS AND KIND WORDS. Yesterday was pretty hard on me considering that I woke up with a totally different expectation. I have not told my friends about this process I'm going through so to have all of you support me on here just makes it that much easier. Today is another day and I'm ready to get back on the horse again. Thanks girls!

Re: Time for my transfer.......
Congrats on 100% fertilization!
No bedrest necessary....my successful cycle (I got a BFP with twins) I went to work the next day & resumed my normal activity...(had no more days off)...the day of transfer I took it easy watching TV on the couch etc but no real bedrest....
My last cycle which ended up BFN I took 2 weeks off (the whole 2ww), I did bedrest and layed low, did accupunture for 3 months prior and still ended up with a BFN!
If the embryos want to stick around, they will no matter what you do!! Besides lifting heavy things and bending, you can do normal things.
GL!

Re: Time for my transfer.......
Good luck!
I put myself on bedrest for about 1.5 days. After that, I took off from work for a few additional days so I could relax and not deal w/ the stress from work.

did you do a 5 day transfer?
I'm sorry to hear that.
It was suppose to be a 3 days transfer. I thought I was so lucky that with the 5 eggs retrieved, all of them were fertilized the next day. When I found out today that they all stopped growing, it was just weird to me. I'm having my consultation with my RE on 5/3 to go over the result and next step.
Thanks for your support

Re: Time for my transfer.......Bad news update
who is your RE?
I did a 2 day transfer. Maybe that's an option next time.
I'm so very sorry. It's a freakin roller coaster.

Hey...thanks for the tip. I think I will bring it up with her next time about day 2 transfer. That was actually one of the question my husband was asking me - whether if the environment is a lot better for the embryos to develop if it was in my uterus compare to a petri dish (although, it is temperature and humidity controlled). I live in NJ and I'm using IRMS in Northern Jersey. If you know any well known place in Northern Jersey that is FSH friendly, please let me know. So far, I haven't had a problem with IRMS so we are willing to do another round.

2 day transfers are pretty new. The best possible place for our embies is in our uterus. Especially with quality issues.
Bring it up to your RE.

Re: Time for my transfer.......Bad news update
So sorry!
With regards to your FSH, you can lower your FSH by drinking wheat grass. It tastes so very gross, but it really works!

Hi, I've been drinking a shot of wheatgrass from wholefood per day. It's only been 2 months. We'll see how my FSH is for my next cycle.
Thanks!
