Timing for my IVF consultation... help!

Obviously going from a bunch of failed iui's Chat Icon to IVF I don't want to waste a single moment. Especially if I start right away after my consult, my baby won't be born until 2013. Chat Icon

What cycle day should I book my IVF consult for so we can start ASAP?

thanks! Chat Icon

Are you changing REs or is it the same one that will be doing the IVF? I would go at the beginning of your next cycle.....a new RE will want to you to have CD3 blood work done.

Good luck

As the PP said, it depends on if you have a new RE or not, but I think you should book ASAP. I just had my first RE consult today and we're tentatively scheduled to do ER mid-Feburary. So I think you still have hope for a 2012 baby! GL!

I would just book your RE appt for the first available. Each RE is different on which tests they will want done before you can start IVF. Then you will also most likely have to take an IVF class.

I would plan on losing a month to tests and stuff before starting.

Re: Timing for my IVF consultation... help!

DH and I decided to take a break in December and January. So my appointment is for January 27th. According to my stupid perfectly-timed body, that will mean I am CD1, on or about.

Should I do this?
