tipping wait staff at party
we are having a nsuprise party for my dad this weekend and I was wondering how much we should tip the wait staff. Do you think $20 per waiter is good enough - I am not sure how many waiters there will be yet, but we are expecting close to 80 guests.
Thanks.

I think that's a good tip.
When I waitressed parties, that was what we usually received (if we got a tip).

it is at Lombardi on the Sound in Port Jeff. It is a sit down dinner plus we are having passed appetizers for the first 1/2 hour.

they usually charge gratuity at places like that (but it's usually very little by the time they split it up) so if they did charge you then i think an additional $20 is fine! if they aren't charging you then i would do more than $20.
