Re: tips for day camp counselors?

I received this email from camp today.

Tips are usually given to the staff members who directly supervise your child, such as your child’s Group Leader, Counselors, Swim Instructors, Before Care/After Care Staff and Bus Staff. A tip may also be given to any staff member who you feel has positively influenced your child’s camp experience this summer.

Suggested Tipping Guidelines
The following is a suggested breakdown for a full 8 week camp session per camper, and should be prorated for part time programs and/or staff accordingly.

GROUP LEADER: $70-$80
COUNSELOR: $40-$60
BUS COUNSELOR: $20-$30
BUS DRIVER: $15-$20 SWIM INSTRUCTOR: $25-$30
BEFORE/AFTERCARE STAFF: $15-$20

At my kids camp the group leader is a full time employee who makes a full time salary. There is no way I would give a tip to the full time salary employee. I don't tip the swim instructor or art teacher or any of the special teachers as they are paid differently, I.e. More than minimum wage.
