Re: To all the new(er) moms, thought this would be helpful....

I'm a pretty new mommy (DD is almost 5.5 months) but I have dealt with a few things so far that I could give advice on.

1. DD cried COSTANTLY for the first 4-6 weeks of her life. Like..ALL. THE. TIME.

2. I had a extremely long labor and wound up with a csection after many complications (for me). It took me a WHILE to get over it and accept that I dont really remember her being born.

3. I had BP issues and EXTREME swelling in my last 2 months of pregnancy.

I'm Christine. I have two girls - DD#1 - Kaitlyn - who is 24.5 months and DD#2 Madelyn who is 6 weeks old - they are 23 months apart so I have a little two under two - but mostly 2 - 2 and under experience. But since I'm a new mom of 2 I will leave most of those questions to those with more experience.

I can help with having pre-eclampsia, GD (second pregnancy only) and 2 csections - the first after 22 hours of labor and the second scheduled - but I didn't make it to my scheduled date.

Both girls had/have bad reflux and colic - so I have some experience there is someone needs an ear - They both cried/cry all day long - and DD#1 cried all day until 6 months so I have BTDT.

We didn't do CIO - so I can answer questions for those who are looking for a CIO alternative.

DD#1 is also lactose intolerant if anyone has questions in that area.

I EBF DD#1 for 13 months (and only started to supplement at 9 months b.c I had issues pumping when we went out of the house - I don't feel comfortable BFing in public). I am EBF DD#2 as well. I had issues with both not taking bottles at one time or another. So I can answer questions for new moms in that area.

I'm a SAHM so I can answer questions there. We have also done - storytime, Music together and gymboree.

Hi. Im Dawn. Mommy to Alyssa, age 3. I went through both a divorce and death of my mom while DD was an infant so I can shed some light on either of those issues.

also, CIO, eating issues, constipation issues are also things we have dealt with over here.

I had an over active uterus and was on bedrest at the end of my pregnancy as well.

I am not a regular poster, partly because every time I try to post, I am basically told my opinion doesnt matter because I dont have 1000000000 posts, but I think this is so nice and it restores my faith in the fact that there are nice people on here and that there IS a reason I keep coming back...thanks BTDT moms!

Re: To all the new(er) moms, thought this would be helpful....

I still consider myself a 'new' mom, DD will be 9 months on 7/12 and alot of the ladies on here have helped out in many ways over the past few months.

I am one of those crazy Army Wives! Chat Icon I live OOS. DH deployed 13 days after DD was born and isn't due home until close to her 1st birthday- hoping for just before (watch for my posts, im sure I will be bursting at the seams!). I'm a SAHM and can help with any one who is dealing with the question of ' How the heck am I going to do this alone?'. When DH is away on business, at school, out with friends for the night, or maybe its just your first time alone AT ALL with baby, i'm here! I did, do it, and will continue to do it.... and so will you! FM me!
