To be blonde or brunette?

Every spring into the summer I put in blonde highlights and lighten up my hair, then fall comes around and I dye it dark back to my natural. Whenever I go back I get SOOOOO many compliments, so I am wondering if its worth spending all the time and money in the summer on highlites?

My question is do you think blonde of brunette for the summer?

I truly can't decide, they both look great. I'm kind of leaning towards brunette. Sorry...I'm no help.

i hear you -- i am a redhead and in the spring and summer i always crave some blonde highlights..once fall and winter come, i always go back to all red and get tons of compliments.

but for my own sake, i need to feel "brightened up' once the wether gets nice.

i just got some blonde highlights & am very happy.

Is the picture that's showing the "blonde" option? I believe so since the pic in your album, your hair looks very dark, close to black, right?

I think the lighter looks great with your coloring!

i usually do what you do..but one summer i decided to stay dark and i loved how it looked with my summer tan. i may do that again this year

if youre craving highlights, maybe do less than usual and go from there.

For some reason the blonde pic of you isn't coming up..but I really like you brunette.

What if you did sort of a combination of both??

DO "underneath" highlights-so it will have that Gisele type of effect-dark at the top, with it a bit lighter at the ends. Sarah JEssica Parker does that too.

When I've done them, I have the colorist put all the hair at the top of my hair up-then highlight everything at the ends underneath by painting on the highlights-no foils.

I think it would look great on you! Plus the best part of doing highlights like that is there are no roots

You can rock both.- Not everyone can.

I would do the blonde highlights for the warmer months, this way when Fall comes, you wont be sick of your hair, kwim?

Im a brunette myself & I'm sick of this one dimensional color I've had for the longest time. I dont want a drastic change, so I'm just going put in some light brown highlights. Maybe you should take the same route, so your at a happy medium

I like both hair colors and think you could pull them both off as your own. I'd do the lighter hair in the summer so that your tan stands out too and stick with it darker in the winter.

I like the brunette picture from your album. But I have to say that I am biased because I have dark hair and love it LOL
