IMO, if someone starts out a post by saying "please don't move this, NFR gets more traffic" (which it DOES), the post should stay on NFR. what's the big deal?? seriously!!!!!!!!!!

And if we REALLY wanted to get nit-picky...any threads about your DH, MIL, FIL, brother, aunt, uncle, neice, cousin, etc. shouldn't be posted on NFR either since the acronym stands for NOT FAMILY RELATED!!!
So then...where do those posts go? NFR is WAY too vague.

To Those Reporting Threads why oh why do you care if someone's thread is on NFR??? We all know this board gets the most traffic, so we want more people to see it. Why does it bother you so?
To Those Moving Threads are these threads so terrible that they can't stay on NFR? What is the big deal? Almost every thread here could fit on some other board. Really- please think about it. And use RESTRAINT when moving boards. Thank you.
To Those who asked for all these extra boards- WHY? It is so frustrating when someone's post gets moved. We have so many boards already that many people don't check or forget about. Lets leave it as it is and take away most of the other NFR boards.
So my suggestion is lets leave Pets, Home Team, Celebrity Gossip and Fashion and morph the rest of the NFR boards to just plain NFR. What do you say 
AMEN. 
It's been my observation that posts are reported based on WHO made the post and not necessarily because of its content.

I don't post much on NFR. Once I posted asking for local hair salons and it was moved to fashion and beauty. While I understand the concept, I don't think it should have been moved.
I was asking for a recommendation, not if a particular hair style would look good on me, etc.. I though people other than people interested in fashion and beauty could also answer me. I ended up with 2 responses. Which did not help me at all.
I see the NFR as random subjects. I think some people get carried away though.
The move of thread is not consistent. Do we need 50 threads on Paris Hilton going to jail. Really??? Then someone post a thread on how long it would take to go through traffic and that's moved to another board.

I will agree somehow with that.
I also am starting to believe that people are requesting threads to be moved now just to be difficult, and not necessarily for organizational purposes.
They are doing it to be pains in the butt and it's so childish.
Uh-oh I used the world "childish" does that mean this whole thread will now be moved to parenting?

I think the more specific the boards are the better.
Organization is a great thing. I hate having to go back 5 pages in to find a thread when if it was in a less frequented board it would be right there and still have responses

the point is soo lost here.
Its about whether a post is REALLY about travel or if another city is mentioned somewhere in it..boom it gets moved..Thats the type of thing thats annoying.
Thats the point some were trying to make here.

I agree!! especially if you write XP home or what ever you post on, because it mean's you already posted on that board.why move it if it's already on there.
I agree as well. Why can't we just leave things the way they are?

And about the PIT BULL thread. I posted this YESTERDAY on the Pet board I was the first one to post the story on PETS. One of the threads has been moved to Pets already and im sure the other one is followiing soon
I posted a story about this on NFR last night. Didn't think it was a big deal and still don't. But I guess I can understand that some people think it belongs on the Pet board, but at the same time it is NFR.
I really dont care where people post. I think most people post under NFR b/c that is the one most people look at. I dont understand why people would take the time to report to Ron or Liz that a post should be moved to another board. If you dont want to read the post, dont read it. The whole moving posts thing is silly to me.

only took two pages for it to come out. If someone takes 5 seconds to report a post why does that qualify as needing a new hobby? It's not very time consuming.
I have reported threads before, was I coming on her to police? No, I was just on here reading threads like we both are doing now.

although reporting goes on, are we sure that threads aren't automatically moved by some software program?
it seems the ones that are usually moved, have words in the title that point to a different board - is it possible that Ron just has a program that sweeps and moves? I really wouldn't want to be the person that all reported threads go to - how many do you think there are in a day???

LIF moves they thread posters can only report the threads. Once you post look right next to the time stamp of your post you will see an exclamation point in a triangle, click that and it will be reported to LIF, who has the ultimate decision.
