Thank you EVERYBODY for all your FMs, prayers, thoughts, well wishes, and for sharing your experiences with things like this. It means more to me than you'll ever know that people who don't really "know" me took the time to reach out to me and my family.

I am so sorry you are going through this....I can't even begin to imagine how you feel right now.
I have seen kids make amazing strides that doctors and specialists never thought they would. Try to stay strong for your little girl. You are all in my thoughts and prayers

I know that this diagnosis isn't a "sentence" so to speak, but I do feel like I will never be truly happy again.
I know how you feel.  I'm not gonna lie, it's a long, hard road to be on (especially at first), but over time it gets easier to deal with. If you ever need to talk, please feel free to FM me

Catherine I'm so sorry (again) This has to be so hard but I pray that the days and weeks ahead give you answers and a plan to help beautiful Erin. IIRC Colin Farrell's son has Angelman's, and he has been pretty open about his progress on various milestones.
I just want to ask you to please keep us posted, I know I'm not alone in my wish to help you guys help Erin, so PLEASE let us know when you're at that point, what we can do.
Any time, money, or equipment/developmental toys she needs, or just plain old anything you can think of, please let us help.

I can only imagine how difficult it is to deal with news like this but remember she is still your little girl and you love her as much as you always have. Keep getting information on what you can do to help her so you can be informed in your choices. I wish you and your family continued strength on your journey with this.

Please don't think this- I promise you that you will be happy and so will your DD.
My brother has Williams Syndrome, and although he has had alot of difficulties growing up, he is the funniest, wittiest, caring guy with a great demeanor. He has brought my family so much joy over the years. I could not imagine life without him and he has made me a better person for just being my brother.

The amnio does NOT detect all the chromosone issues. Only the main one. There are about 1000 possible chromosone problems. Each one is to be done individually to be sure.
Well it should. They found this by running a simple DNA microarray...nothing specific.
I thought so too until we talked to the genetisist and found it was not so.
