i am sorry for your news - i can imagine how shocking that was.
just remember though, she is still the same beautiful little girl that she always was. you will still love her in every way and she will still love you in every way. and, although it may be different than you had imagined, she can (and will!) still have a happy and fulfilled life. just stand by her and love her.
if you haven't read it already, read welcome to holland . it's a truly inspirational essay and i think you may find comfort in it.

My Niece has a deleted chromosone, the short arm of the 5th chromsone, its called 5P- syndrome or Cri du Chat.
She is 14 now and is a joy to our entire family. I'm sure there are support groups for families with your child's exact syndrome, my BIL & SIL have found their group to be a huge help throughout Bella's life, especially when she was very young because its pretty rare.
